Today, I'm sharing these baked donuts that are soft, sweet, and packed with SO much peanut butter flavor!
Serves: 28 donuts
the donut
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 egg
  • ½ cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
the glaze
  • 1 cup powdered sugar, sifted
  • 1 heaping tbsp peanut butter
  • about 2 tbsp milk
  • ½ tsp salt
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Spray donut pans with cooking spray.
  2. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Whisk together egg and peanut butter until smooth, then gradually whisk in the milk. Stir in the vanilla. Whisk the wet ingredients into the dry, stirring to combine.
  3. Fill the donut cavities about ¾ full. You can either transfer the batter into a piping bag and pipe the batter into the pan, or you can just spoon it in (it can be messy this way, though) Bake for 11-12 minutes, until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Cool for about 10 minutes, then transfer to a cooling rack to cool completely.
  4. To make the glaze, add powdered sugar to a small bowl. Add in milk, a tablespoon at a time, whisking until desired consistency is reached. Stir in peanut butter and salt.
  5. Dip each donut into the glaze, allowing any excess to drip off. Enjoy!!
